Our first ever athlete of the week is nine-year-old hockey player and Springhill native, Reid Reynolds. Reid has been playing hockey pretty much since he could walk and his love, passion and skill for Canada’s favourite sport are undeniable. Reid is coming off a very successful year with the Cumberland U11 Ramblers, where he was chosen as an alternate captain, despite being one of the youngest on the team. The Springhiller also lead all rookies in scoring.
Reid will be playing in the AHG AAA division with the Pictou Storm team, and has also been selected to the Nova Scotia AAA Elite Raiders. Lastly, Reid is one of 50 players in Nova Scotia born in 2012 to be selected to an invite-only training camp this Summer at Andrews Hockey School.
